WebThe VA does use the Maryland CNC test as a part of their audiology exam (the C&P exam.) That's required by regulation (4.85(a)) My ENT Gave me both the CNC and NU-6 test and they pretty much were the same in terms of word recognition score. If you go to a private doctor for a retest be sure they use the CNC word list, not the NU-6 word list.
