WebJan 2, 2008 · Recently I had some acrylic (rubber) backed curtains dry-cleaned and the backing broke down so that light shines through in various patches. Is there anyway they can be rescued? I followed the instructions and washed them at 30 degrees and they are ruined. All the lining has stuck together and torn and it's a huge mess. Won't be doing that again.
